VBC's Awana Ministries

Awana is a non-denominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Look for more information (coming soon) and prepare now by praying about how God will lead you to get involved in this exciting new ministry area.

Awana offers a series of clubs and programs geared to the needs of each particular age or grade. As a vital part of our local church ministry, Awana clubs and programs effectively reach young people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Each Awana ministry is broken into three general areas: Game Time, Handbook Time and Lesson Time. Children are encouraged to memorize scripture and are taught about Jesus and how to live the Christian life. Find out more about Awana Ministries here.

Children are rewarded for their work in memorizing scripture by badges and awards, and by Awana Bucks they can use in the Awana Store, where they can buy all kinds of cool prizes!

Fun Theme Nights add spice to our club. Kids get to dress up in crazy ways, and each Theme Night has a message that teaches truths of scripture and missions.

Cubbies
This preschool ministry is for 3 & 4 year- olds. Children must have turned 3 prior to September 1 in order to participate.
Celebrates preschoolers’ spiritual potential by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.

Sparks
This early elementary ministry is for
children from kindergarten to grade 2.
Children learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Jesus Christ.

Truth & Training
For 3rd-5th graders.
Answers key questions kids have about God and the Bible, guiding them to grow in His grace.
