FROM YOUR INTERIM PASTOR During the month of March the sermons will be from the Gospel of John and hopefully will be preparing us for the celebration of the Resurrection on Easter, April 4. Sunday morning messages can only go so far in preparation. We must also prepare ourselves through our personal devotions which include prayer and Bible study. Before you leave for the church on Sunday morning pray for your Bible study teacher in your Life Group. Pray for the worship leaders and the musicians. And I covet your prayers as well. With the election of the Pastor Search Committee the congregation is taking a most important step. They will not have an easy task and they are in need of your prayerful support. As you see members of the committee about the church building encourage them in their task. In my months with you I have been most impressed with the church family at Victory. You are a very talented and gifted congregation. I believe the one great issue you will face in the future, and I don’t think it will be long in the future, is the lack of space for those who are in attendance. STUDENT MINISTRY (grades 6-12) Contagious Community: Guys & Girls Bible Studies While it's true that God created us for community, it can be difficult to know what it looks like, how it feels, and how to begin building it. Contagious Community identifies the crucial elements of true, lasting Christian community. We hope that you will join us for another exciting semester of small-group Bible study as we dive into what it means and what it takes to be a contagious Christian! Come enjoy fellowship with our congregation and a meal prepared and served to you by our students. Suggested donation is $5.00 per person and $20.00 per family (but any amount will be accepted). One Night March 24, for one night, the student ministry is moving it's Wednesday night activities to Lexington Christian Academy for One Night's Spring Break Tour, featuring This Fires Embrace and Our Hero's End. The concert begins at 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm). This is a free event for students, no tickets or registration required! Parents, you may drop your child off for this event, or join us! The cost is $5.00 per person, and that price includes shoes. Encourage your child to bring a friend!
