FROM YOUR INTERIM PASTOR On a recent Sunday morning we had visitors in our congregation that I know from another congregation. Following the service they remarked that they enjoyed the “enthusiasm” of the worship service at Victory. I liked hearing those comments. Victory Baptist Church is very much an alive and exciting congregation. You have so much to share. As we go through a very special time of the year for the Christian community and into the summer months, I hope we are more than willing to invite others to share in the worship experience at Victory. What you have is too good not to share. We commend the group of volunteers who spent a week in Oneida. From the accounts I have received they had a wonderful experience. Hands-on missions has a way of charging up a congregation. But it is also a way of doing what Jesus commanded us to do. We are to share the message of Christ - not only by what we say but by what we do. Pray for the search committee as they are beginning their work of seeking a new pastor for our congregation. STUDENT MINISTRY (grades 6-12) Parent Newsletter Parents, staying up to date on the happenings in the student ministry can be difficult at times. To help with this, the student ministry has been putting together monthly student parent newsletters with information and details concerning upcoming events, family devotionals, and much more. If you have not received any previous student parent newsletters please contact Patrick and give provide an email address that you can receive the newsletter at. Serve NOW, D-Now April 16-18 The Spring Disciple-Now begins April 16 @6:30pm and lasts through Sunday morning, April 18. Any students interested in attending should sign-up on the student ministry board. Students are strongly encouraged to invite their friends. Cost of the event is $10.00.	PRESCHOOL AND CHILDREN VBS Leadership Sign-up Day! Sunday, April 11 Everyone who signs up to be a leader on Sunday, April 11 will be entered in a drawing, with 10 chances to win a VBS t-shirt! Training and inspiration for leading specific age groups is available from the Elkhorn Association's VBS training event Thursday, April 29th @ 6pm, April 29 at Broadway Baptist. Get a jump start on ideas for VBS! Easter Worship Preschool children ages 2-PreK will join the children K-5th grade to bless us with special music on Easter Sunday morning. Please join us for this special time of celebration! Egg Hunt A traditional Easter Egg hunt will follow the worship service Easter Sunday morning, April 4. Bring your own basket. Rain date: Sunday, April 11. Congratulations! Proud grandparents, James & Ruth Anne Hurst announce the birth of their first grandchild! Robert Thomas Canter, II was born on March 2. Preschool Let's go to Monkey Joe's!! Preschool families are invited to join us at Monkey Joe's for crazy fun on Monday, April 19 from 6-8 pm. Total admission cost per child: $6.00. Pizza will be available for purchase- a large pizza (with 8 slices): $10. Please come and bring a friend! Children K-5th Grade Donut fundraiser to benefit the children's K-5th grade camp: We will be selling Krispy Kreme Donuts for $1 each on Sunday morning April 11, before LifeGroup. Guest Missionary On Wednesday, April 21 as part of the Elkhorn Baptist Association's On Mission Celebration, a special guest missionary will speak with the children's group. What a great opportunity for our kids to speak with one who has said, "Yes Lord, send me!"
