Partners: Prayers and Praises
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
-Philippians 1:3-5

A vital part of Victory's mission to "lead all people to know and treasure Jesus above all things" is partnering with church planters locally, nationally, and internationally. The information below will help you pray for our partners and remain up-to-date on the work God is doing through them.

Church in Versailles

Mosaic Church in Versailles, KY is a new church plant led by Pastor Todd Probus Mosaic launched in September 2008 and currently meets in a school gym.  Victory has partnered with Mosaic by providing financial, prayer, and ministry support.

  • Hoping to have a good crowd next Sunday to hear career missionaries who will be sharing about their ministry in Central Asia.
  • Looking to have a "Why Jesus" weekend in late February(an in-home retreat about the uniqueness of Christ).
  • Looking to start a monthly men's breakfast on Saturday, December 4th, as a way for our men to invite male friends to a non-church environment.

David and Colleen Hewitt in Mansfield, TX

David and Colleen, along with their daughters Riley and Madison, serve as church-planting interns at The Community at Lakeridge in Mansfield, TX. The Hewitts are members of Victory and we have been supporting them financially as they serve and prepare for future church planting. Please pray for them and thank God for the progress in their ministry.

Praises and Prayer Concerns

The biggest thing in front of the Hewitt family is that we found out two weeks ago that we have to move by end of January. The family that has leased us our present house is returning to the area. They have been very gracious and we are thankful that they get to return to their families. However, we are now looking for a house to lease. Not the best of times as the holidays are upon us. But God's timing is perfect and we are trusting that He is working all things out for our good. So please pray with us that He will show us to the house He wants for us. We are also praying that the girls will get to stay in their schools.

Here is a definition of faith that we are encouraging one another with daily: Faith is choosing to live as though God's word is true regardless of circumstances, emotions/feelings or cultural trends.

The service that God is allowing us to do here is progressing. We are seeing God work in many ways...over 38 baptisms this year!!

Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. Live Outside the Lines!

Reilly and Maddison are doing very well. Reilly is now serving on the PAC as well. She is on the Lighting Team and runs the lights during our worship services. Personally, she is enjoying caring for and riding horses. Maddison continues to make new friends and enjoys playing with her Webkins. At TCAL, she helps with tear down.

Please pray for me, David, as I have entered into an intense mentoring relationship with a man at TCAL who is an exceptional leader. The purpose of this coaching/mentoring is to help me define my vision for ministry. This is an exciting time as I feel we are close to discovering God's next step for us.

Thank you for continuing to pray for God's best for our family and ministry. We are thankful to be partners together with you for the sake of the gospel.

South Asia Partners: Matt, Shannon, and Rafique

Matt and Shannon are former members of Victory who currently serve in South Asia. Rafique (name changed for security) is a native of S. Asia and serves as a full-time evangelist on their ministry team. Victory has partnered with Matt and Shannon through prayer support and the adoption of their people group since 2008. We also financially support Rafique so he is able to devote himself to sharing the gospel and planting churches. Please pray for them as they faithfully make disciples and start churches.

These are their requests and praises:

First, praise God for the profession of faith and baptism of Rafique's brother-in-law! I also spoke with him and I believe his faith is sincere. He requested baptism even though he knows that persecution likely awaits him when he gets home. He did not return home for Bakr Eid (sometimes called Eid ul Zuha or Eid ul Adha in other countries) and it seems his family thought that he had rejected them because of his newfound faith. So they called Rafique and his wife (their daughter) and berated them on the phone and said they wanted no more relation with them. After this the whole family was in tears and Rafique wept on the phone as he told me about this. Then the father-in-law dispatched a relative to our city to bring his son back home. But before he left he was baptized!

So please pray for this young man. He was living a sinful life before and we are praying that they see a significant change for the better and realize that it is because of the new life that he has found in Isa. Also, he is alone in his faith in this family and we are praying that he will stand firm despite persecution - that the Spirit will give him strength to endure and wisdom to respond to questions and allegations that will likely come his way.

Also pray for Rafique's family as they continue to be threatened and hassled by local Hindu gang members demanding a "tip" for festivals centered around idol worship.

Thank you again for your prayers and support for Rafique, his family and for me and mine.
