What We Do

Preschool Ministry

First Steps Preschool Ministry is committed to partner with families in laying a spiritual foundation that enables each child to take the first steps towards a lifetime of loving and following Jesus.  It is our heart to lead all preschool children and their families to know and treasure Jesus above all things. 

How do we do that?  Since preschool children can begin learning about Jesus’ love and discipleship at these very early ages, we strive to create an atmosphere in which children can learn Bible truths in ways that are physically and developmentally appropriate for children, infant through preschool (4-5 years old).  

We believe that His littlest ones can worship, spend time with God through prayer, hear His word, serve others and even begin to share His love with their friends.  Sunday morning Life Groups and other church wide activities provide preschoolers the opportunity to interact with other children and adults in our faith family.  Our whole church recognizes the importance and privilege of passing the baton of faith to the next generation!

We are committed to making sure your child is safe and secure when they are in our care. All workers are screened prior to working with our children. Parents are issued a pager that enables us to notify you at a moment’s notice if you are needed.

First Steps also provides activities and training for parents about different aspects of raising a preschool child.   

On top of all this, our First Steps leaders genuinely love preschoolers, and believe that learning to follow Jesus should be fun!  There’s a lot of laughter and genuine joy in the atmosphere of our preschool ministry!
