What We Do

Worship Ministries

As followers of Jesus who have been redeemed by His death and resurrection, we want to proclaim the truth of the gospel and the kingdom of God with every breath, and encourage others to do the same.  This is no dull, boring task – Jesus is alive and active by His Spirit in our lives and the lives of those around us, bringing life out of death every day.

As His body, we want to use the creative gifts that God has given us to celebrate the gospel in fresh and exiting ways, turning the diamond of gospel truth to see new facets every time we gather, rejoicing in His goodness, faithfulness, grace and love.  The worship ministries at Victory aim to do that in our public worship gatherings:

Worship band
The worship band plays for Sunday gatherings and other special events. It consists of a rhythm section (piano, bass, drums, guitars) and a variety of other instruments such as brass, winds, synth and percussion; there is always room for one more musician!

Adult worship choir
The worship choir leads our Sunday gatherings vocally and also sings special numbers during Christmas, Easter and throughout the year.  All adults and youth from middle school up are welcome.

Vocal ensembles
In addition to the worship choir, we have various men’s and women’s ensembles, mixed quartets and other small vocal groupings, including solos and duets.  We’re always looking for more vocalists to share their gifts with the body!

Instrumental ensembles
In small and large groupings, instrumental ensembles add color and life to special worship services.  We welcome all band and orchestral instruments – strings, winds, brass, and percussion.

Sound/Media ministry
Our technical ministry cares for all technical aspects of our Sunday worship gatherings and other special gatherings and events, including sound, visual media, and message duplication.

Open Door ministry
Our greeters and ushers offer a smile, genuine welcome and assistance to all who attend our services and special events.

Student worship band
The student band leads musical worship for students on Wednesdays, and occasionally at other times during the year.  This is a great place for students to begin to use their musical gifts.

This is not a complete listing – we are eager to explore other ways to rejoice in God’s goodness such as dance, drama, visual art, or other artistic expressions.  If you have a heart to worship God and a desire to encourage others to do so, we would love to involve you!
